Abstract

This study investigated the communication approach between doctors and patients on mHealth
apps in Bangladesh. To fulfill the research objectives, this study employed a qualitative research approach. The study addressed the treatment-providing process concerning COVID-19. It outlined how the patients get informed about the apps and examined what type of communication is most beneficial to the users on these apps. In addition, it ascertained the users’ views on considering the apps as an alternative to in-person communication. The findings suggest that mHealth apps have become more significant in the healthcare sector, as they provide convenient accessibility, specific care, and efficient ways to communicate for patients and healthcare  professionals, particularly during times of crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic.
